Left Paw to Heart - Right Paw to Heart and A Happy New Year OK, OK, so there are many magical things that escape our eyes. As we observe life it goes by so fast sometimes. In the edit suite I am constantly reminded of the beauty, splendor, and magic all around us in the world. Here with Nutty Squirrel I am reminded of how fellow travelers communicate or seem to communicate. While I was filming a squirrel--a very busy squirrel-- in St. Augustine, it seemed to me that she was trying to communicate with my camera. She was not afraid of the camera, maybe because it was far enough away, but at a certain instant she seemed to signal with her paw. Magic. It melts my heart to see a creature do this, and I thought it might touch you and your friends as well. Many of us have seen such things in nature but are reluctant to mention them or speak of them.
